Paper check payroll information for March 20, 2019 - biweekly pay

To: UC Santa Cruz Community

From: Steve Stein, Associate Vice Chancellor, Staff Human Resources Grace McClintock, Assistant Vice Provost, Academic Personnel Ed Moran, Director of Accounting Services, Financial Affairs

This change does not impact individuals who are enrolled in our direct deposit program.
Pursuant to our campuswide communication last week, there will be a labor strike on campus on Wednesday, March 20. Next Wednesday is a biweekly pay date, meaning that biweekly employees receive their pay for the previous pay period. In order to ensure that employees receiving paper checks can receive their pay on payday, paper checks will be delivered to campus mailstops no later than 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Those receiving a paper check one day early are advised to not deposit or cash the check before the check date, March 20, as they may be rejected by banking institutions.
