New vendor selected for curriculum management

The Curriculum Management Project, a campuswide initiative to improve the systems used to manage curriculum at UC Santa Cruz, is pleased to announce SmartCatalog has been selected as the vendor for phase one of the project.

SmartCatalog systems will enable the campus to improve, automate, and integrate the processes for proposing, modifying, and approving courses and program statements. This system will in turn integrate with the SmartCatalog catalog production and publication systems. The new catalog will be more feature-laden and provide a richer user experience than the current catalog.

Implementation started in early January and is expected to take approximately one year.

Phase two of the project will involve class scheduling.
