Student dies after hit-and-run collision

Unfounded reports of shots fired on campus
The UC Santa Cruz Police Department dispatch center received reports of gunshots near Kresge College today around 2 p.m. Police responded and determined there were no shots fired and that the sounds came from a sorority group popping balloons.
