In Memoriam: Hannah Dakota Veit-Hartl

It is with deep sadness that we write to tell you of the death of Cowell student, Hannah Dakota Veit-Hartl.  Hannah Dakota died in the early morning hours of March 9. 

Hannah Dakota, who was 22, came to UC Santa Cruz from Palos Verdes, Calif.  A connoisseur of contemporary music and a gifted impersonator, Hannah Dakota was majoring in psychology. She was one quarter away from graduation. Hannah Dakota was a bright, witty, and sensitive person, and the Cowell community mourns her loss.
