A memorial service celebrating the career and accomplishments of Joseph Bunnett, professor emeritus of chemistry and biochemistry, will take place on Saturday, June 27, at 3 p.m. in the Porter College Dining Hall.
Bunnett, who died in May, joined the UCSC faculty in 1966. He was one of the early builders of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the late 1960s and 1970s, and he helped shape the unique character of undergraduate and graduate education at UC Santa Cruz.
