I am pleased to announce the nomination period for 2015-2016 Staff Advisory Board (SAB) members is now open.  There are five openings for the upcoming year two of which are current members up for re-election.  Nominations must be submitted to no later than April 30th, 2015 by 5 p.m.

Are you or do you know anyone interested in being a voice for staff?

Joining the Staff Advisory Board presents an excellent opportunity for you to get involved and serve our campus, the UC system and the greater Santa Cruz community through: 

  •      Networking with Senior Management and Campus Leaders
  •      Collaborating with constituents from across the campus
  •      Various Campus Committees
  •      Staff Advocacy 
  •      Opportunity to sit on System wide Committees
  •      Staff Appreciation Picnic
  •      SAB Sponsored Chancellor Forums 
  •      Second Harvest and United Way Drives

The mission of the UC Santa Cruz Staff Advisory Board is to support both the educational goals of the University and the welfare and diversity of the staff. SAB serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor and all senior officers, management and other campus parties or organizations seeking staff consultation, in accordance with California laws and UC Regent Policies.  The board is dedicated to promoting better communication and relations among UC Santa Cruz employees and administration.

Nominations must be submitted no later than April 30th, 2015 by 5 p.m.  

Elections will be held May 6th - May 22nd, 2015 and new members will be announced at the Staff Appreciation Picnic on May 28th, 2015.  

Membership Requirements:

All non-exclusively represented career staff employees who have completed probation are eligible to serve on the Staff Advisory Board.

Because there is a time commitment to serving on the SAB, it is strongly recommended that nominees have the support of their supervisor.  

The term of membership is three years.
