Arboretum graphic design contest open to faculty, staff, and students

The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum is holding a graphic design contest to solicit original artwork for use in publicizing the Arboretum and its world-renowned collections during its 50th anniversary year. The contest is open to all UC Santa Cruz faculty, staff, and students, and the deadline for submissions is January 8, 2015.

The winning design will appear on a variety of merchandise, such as tote bags, magnets, and postcards, and will be displayed on the Arboretum web site. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate at Bay Tree Bookstore, a certificate of acknowledgment, and publicity in articles featuring the Arboretum's 50th anniversary.

Established in 1964, the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum is a public garden of rare, endangered, and extraordinary plants from around the world. It is committed to educating students and the community about conservation via internships, jobs, volunteer positions, programs, and events.
