Impact of Quarry Plaza construction on Night Shuttle

To: UCSC Community

From: Larry Pageler, Director, Transportation and Parking Services

As part of a campuswide electrical distribution upgrade project, construction fencing will be installed at the Quarry Plaza parking lot entrance within the next few days. This fencing will prevent the campus Night Core shuttles from entering the Quarry Plaza, where they usually start each trip. For the duration of the construction project (scheduled to end April 31st), the West Night Core route will start at Cowell Circle, and the East Night Core route will start at McHenry Library. The nearest bus stops to Quarry Plaza will be on Hagar Drive immediately uphill and downhill from Steinhart Drive for the East Night Core route, and immediately west of Quarry Plaza on Steinhart Drive for the West Night Core route.
The construction fencing will not impact Santa Cruz Metro buses or Night Owl service.
Please contact TAPS (459-2190 or taps@ucsc.edu) with any questions about this temporary change.
