To the Porter College community:
We regret to tell you that Ivan Mercado, a senior at the University and a member of Porter College, was struck and killed by a passing car this weekend in downtown Santa Cruz. Ivan majored in Astrophysics and lived at Porter.
He will be greatly missed. A vigil for Ivan will be held in the main quad at Porter College on Monday, 13 January, at 9:00 p.m. Ivan’s family will be present. All are welcome to attend.
