Summer 2014 Orientation Dates

To: UCSC Staff and Faculty

From: Rosa M. Plaza, Director of Orientation

Summer Orientation is our opportunity as a campus to formally welcome newly admitted UCSC students and their families. Orientation serves as the first step in their transition into university life and guides them socially and academically, supporting retention and graduation. New frosh and transfer students may choose to attend a one-day orientation; additionally, once again, frosh students may choose to attend an overnight orientation.

Make a note of the Summer 2014 Orientation dates listed below.

  Tuesday, July 22 (Frosh Day)

  Wednesday, July 23 (frosh Day)

  Friday, July 25 (Transfer Day)

  Saturday, July 26 (Frosh Day)

  Tuesday, July 29 (Frosh Day)*

  Wednesday, July 30 (Frosh Day)

Thursday, July 31 (Tentative date reserved for frosh or transfer)

*Overnight program participants (Students stay overnight in the residence halls.)

Faculty, staff, and the greater campus community play an invaluable role for students, and your continued participation in Orientation is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, feedback or want to share ideas for future programming, please contact Rosa Plaza at rplaza@ucsc.edu.

Thank you for your support.
