UCSC PD to host national ‘Take Back Initiative’

The UC Santa Cruz Police Department will sponsor the upcoming U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency “Take Back Initiative” Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The objective is to collect unused, unwanted, or expired medications. Any medications may be brought to UCSC police department where drop-off boxes will be available in the lobby. UCSC police will dispose the controlled substances in a safe, secure, and non-hazardous manner, potentially saving lives and protecting the ecosystem.
