New UCSC ParkCard

Beginning next Monday, April 9th, UCSC ParkCards will be available for purchase at the TAPS Sales Office. The ParkCard is a debit card that can be used at all campus parking meters and paystations, eliminating the need for change, and reducing transaction times at paystations. UCSC ParkCards cost $5 for the refillable card, and are pre-loaded with a value of $20. ParkCards do not have an expiration date; more time can be easily added at campus parking paystations by using a Visa or MasterCard, or at the TAPS Sales Office during business hours.

An added benefit of ParkCards is the ability to obtain credit for unused time at meters; simply insert the card into the meter before leaving the parking space. (This refund option is not available at campus paystations.)

ParkCards are not refundable, but are transferable. The initial purchaser may make their own transaction to sell or gift their ParkCard to another individual when they no longer need it.
