The UCSC Women's Club's 5th Annual Santa Cruz Chocolate Festival will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Cocoanut Grove.
Proceeds raised by the Chocolate Festival provide scholarships for re-entry students at UCSC. In 2011, we awarded $20,000 to 23 students.
To ensure our continued success and to accommodate these changes, we need plenty of volunteers.
Volunteer shifts are typically 1.5 -2 hours, allowing time for you to enjoy chocolate. (If you won't be in town on Jan. 22, volunteers are needed for pre-festival activities, too.) You will have the opportunity to purchase a discounted ticket to the event and will have a lot of fun helping to support a worthy cause.
Volunteers do not have to be members of the UCSC Women's Club and men are more than welcome to join in.
To volunteer, go to the Chocolate Festival web site, http://www.santacruzchocolatefestival.org/ click on Volunteer and complete the Sign-up form. Be sure to click the Submit bottom at the bottom of the form! Please respond by December 5, 2011!
