Planetary scientist Francis Nimmo was quoted in a Nature news story about evidence for liquid water on Saturn's moon Enceladus.

KALW, a public radio station in San Francisco, aired a feature report on tracking mountain lions in the Santa Cruz Mountains with Chris Wilmers, assistant professor of environmental studies.

Frank also contributed op-eds for The Nation and the syndicated site TheProgressive.com, which was picked up by McClatchy and AP nationwide, and featured in Newsday and news websites across the country.

TheSan Jose Mercury News and Santa Cruz Sentinel quoted music professor Linda Burman-Hall for stories about the annual Baroque Festival that was hosted by the UCSC Arboretum.

Shakespeare Santa Cruz was featured in a San Jose Mercury News article about upcoming summer theater.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel featured a story titled “UCSC Brings Film Industry to Campus,” about the Arts Division’s two-day Film Symposium celebrating alumni in the film world, extensively quoting arts dean David Yager, plus comments by alumnus and film producer Ron Yerxa (Little Miss Sunshine, Cold Mountain).

Arts Dean Yager was also quoted by the San Jose Mercury News and Santa Cruz Sentinel in a story about the 50th anniversary celebration of Plantronics, where he noted that researchers at the company are collaborating with researchers at UCSC.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel wrote about the Social Documentation (Soc Doc) program premiere showing of student master thesis films at the Del Mar Theatre in Santa Cruz.

Patch.com also wrote about the Soc Doc film exhibition.

The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal ran a profile of biomolecular engineer Phil Berman in a special section on "Health Care Heroes."
