Call for nominations – 3 openings
This is an opportunity to meet with the Chancellor to share staff issues, participate in work groups and committees like our new Advocacy Committee, and to organize and support staff appreciation activities such as the Thumbs Up peer awards. The SAB is honored to be requested to be voting members of many various committees on campus, including Campus Welfare, Transportation, Student Fee Advisory, and more.
The SAB is also proud to host the Chancellor's Staff Forums and the annual staff picnic. We also get asked to take part in recruitments and review processes.
SAB is not only local, but also UC system wide, as we send two Board members to quarterly meetings of the Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) where issues are shared and discussed and proposals put forward to UCOP and the Regents.Please complete the self-nomination form below and then, using cut and paste, reply in an e-mail to: sabnominations@ucsc.edu before April 20, 2011. Elections will be held April 25 –May 5, and new members will be announced at the Staff Appreciation Picnic on May 11. New members will be invited to the June 15 board meeting.

All non-represented career employees who have completed probation are eligible to serve on the Staff Advisory Board. Membership term is three years with a monthly commitment of approximately 10 hours. If elected, the term begins July 1, 2011.
