We want to advise you of a police matter that is ongoing in the Santa Cruz community. Law-enforcement personnel off campus are currently searching for a prisoner who escaped while being transported to Dominican Hospital for treatment. The suspect is believed to be armed and in the vicinity of the hospital.
The search has resulted in some neighborhood evacuations and traffic is also impacted in some areas.
