Bay Street Repaving

The City of Santa Cruz Public Works Department is conducting a series of

resurfacing projects on roadways throughout Santa Cruz, including Bay

Street between Mission Street and High Street. The Bay Street work began

late last week and will continue through the next two weeks, with

completion anticipated prior to Fall 2008 Welcome Week.

Campus commuters are reminded to be alert for changing conditions as work

progresses, and to obey directions provided by flaggers managing traffic

detours. While construction crews and heavy equipment are present, please

use extra caution when driving through the Bay Street corridor.

TAPS and PIO will provide the campus with updated information about the Bay

Street Resurfacing Project as we learn more from City staff managing the

project.
