Professor of history Jonathan Beecher receives the Palmes Acadèmiques medal from Emmanuel Delloye, France’s Attaché Culturel. The medal is the French government’s highest honor for academic achievement. Beecher received the medal for his work on French utopian socialist Charles Fourier.
