Campus Exterior Lighting Walk

Time: Dusk - 8 p.m.
One of the things that attracts students, staff, and faculty to UC Santa Cruz is its location in the redwoods. Along with its beauty, the natural setting requires extra attention to ensure the safety of our community members, something that is a top priority of campus leadership.
In the last few years, the campus has dedicated significant resources to enhancing its pathways, which involved the installation of iconic 60s-style globe lights and modern box lights equipped with advanced LED bulbs.
Join us
Everyone is invited to join an evening walk around campus on Wednesday, May 29, to explore the current lighting and make suggestions for improvements and additional lighting that will make navigating the campus at night more safe.
