Female fish prefer nesting males, study shows

The research, by Professor Suzanne Alonzo, demonstrates "cryptic female choice" by the ocellated wrasse. Researchers found that something in the ovarian fluid released with the eggs influences which male's sperm is most likely to fertilize them.
