Students take UC's case to the Capitol

UCSC students protest in Sacramento

Student Jasmin Avila (language studies, '12) took part in the March 1 student protest in Sacramento over dwindling state funding for higher education.

In her first-person account of the day, she writes, "Students from across all 10 UC campuses came together in solidarity to speak out against the state of public education ... hundreds of students proceeded to the Capitol building, where we gathered together to march as one." [More]
