Police officers with the City of Santa Cruz and UC Santa Cruz responded at 3 a.m. January 30 to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven on Cardiff Place. The suspect pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money to a car in the area. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male with blue eyes in his mid-to-late 20's who is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was in all black clothing.
The suspect left the scene in a newer model — possibly four-door — black Honda Civic, with white or clear taillights, driven by someone else. They were last seen driving west on High Street.
The suspects remain at-large, and the investigation continues.
