Fall Budget Forum on November 14

To: UC Santa Cruz Community

From: Alison Galloway, Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor

Several current events are taking place that influence our budget forecast. President Napolitano announced (http://budget.universityofcalifornia.edu) the proposal of a five-year plan to increase tuition up to 5 percent annually. The fall elections also provided some insights of what is to come. And the UC system-wide budget will be presented on November 19 at the Regents Meeting (http://regents.universityofcalifornia.edu/meetings/agendas/nov14.html).

To understand our campus’ budget within the context of the overall UC budget, and because I want to be transparent with you, I will host an online budget forum on Friday, November 14, from noon to 1:00 p.m. Joining me will be Vice Chancellor of Budget and Planning, Peggy Delaney, to help answer your questions.

All members of the UC Santa Cruz community are invited to participate online at cpevc.ucsc.edu. Viewers will have an opportunity to submit questions in real-time during the webcast. The webcast will also be recorded and available online for future viewing.

To participate in this online forum, please visit the CP/EVC web site shortly before the 12:00 p.m. start time, and follow the posted instructions.
