Housing needed for students

To: UCSC Staff and Faculty

From: UCSC Community Rentals Office

The highly competitive local rental market means that some UC Santa Cruz students are still working to finalize their housing plans with less than two weeks before the start of the academic year. If you have an available room in your home and have ever thought of renting it out, now is a perfect time. Please consider advertising your room for rent through the UC Santa Cruz Community Rentals Office.

Whether for the full academic year, or just for a few weeks or months, sharing your home will help support an academically talented UCSC student. Rental listings maintained by Community Rentals are accessible only to UCSC students, so you know your room will be available only to a student in need.

You can advertise your room rental for free using Community Rentals Housing Registry Program. If you need assistance with advertising, need sample rental agreements, or have other questions, contact Community Rentals at communityrentals@ucsc.edu  or call 831-459-4435 between 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
