Renewal of parking permits for Fall 2014 - Staff and Faculty

To: UCSC Staff and Faculty

From: Larry Pageler, Transportation and Parking Services Director

If you have not yet purchased or renewed your parking permit, please consider doing so now at http://basx2.ucsc.edu/application14/. By using the online application, and picking up your permit before September 26th, you’ll avoid the “crush” of Fall Quarter, and will minimize the amount of time spent standing in line. Due to the heavy volume of permit applications, please allow up to four business days to process your parking permit.

If you have already received an annual A permit, you do not need to reapply. If you have a multi-year permit (see an example at http://taps.ucsc.edu/parking/parking-permits/multi-year-permit-sample.html), it does not expire until December 30th; you do not need to submit a parking permit application at this time.

Permits ordered on-line after next Thursday (September 4th) will not be mailed out, but held for pick up at the TAPS Sales Office between 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. From September 29th–October 3rd, a tent will be erected in Lot 116 (intersection of Carriage House and Ox Team Roads) specifically to distribute these prepaid permits; the tent will be staffed between 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

If you use quarterly permits, you can renew up to one month in advance; use the online application, and then bring your permit to the Sales Office for a new sticker.

If you have any parking permit-related questions, please call (831) 459-4543 or email tapssales@ucsc.edu.
