Biennial travel patterns survey

To: UCSC Community

From: Larry Pageler, Director, Transportation and Parking Services

UCSC's Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) is launching its biennial survey to collect data on the travel patterns of our students, faculty, and staff. The survey is a key part of our effort to monitor and improve our programs, services, and systems.

The Campus Sustainability Plan includes a goal of achieving 75% of all on-campus trips made by human-powered modes by the year 2020. This year's survey includes new questions that will provide a baseline to know how close we are to that goal; subsequent surveys will track campus progress.

The questions in the survey relate to how you traveled to, from, and around UCSC last week, Monday through Friday (April 28th–May 2nd). Please complete this survey no later than Friday, May 9th.

Your information is a valuable part of our data collection process – even if you only work at or attend UCSC part-time, work at off-campus locations in Santa Cruz, or didn't come to campus last week. All responses will be kept confidential.

Survey participants who fully complete the survey by May 14th (and submit their name and contact information at the end of the survey) will be eligible for our prize drawing of five $50 Bay Tree Bookstore gift certificates.
