We are excited to share that the Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic and UC Walks will both take place this year on Tuesday, May 20th.
This year you can enjoy two great events at the same time and place. UCSC Wellness and the Staff Advisory Board (SAB) will be working together to provide you with an opportunity to take a wellness break and walk 30 minutes with co-workers, and then enjoy a wonderful picnic in appreciation of our staff here at UCSC with special guests Chancellor Blumenthal and Sammy Slug. The afternoon will be filled with great food, live music, raffle prizes and don't miss the presentation of the Outstanding Staff Award sponsored by the Alumni Association. This year's most deserving recipient is Margie Claxton from the Registrar's Office.
To promote bicycle commuting and encourage staff members to bike safely, TAPS will be holding a bike helmet giveaway at the picnic. TAPS will provide 50 helmets on a first come, first serve basis (depending on size availability). If you are interested, please stop by the TAPS table and allow a few minutes for fitting. Please note that helmets are for the staff members who come to the table, not their friends or family members.

Staff who work off-campus will be able to park in the East Remote for free between 10:30am and 2:00pm
