In an effort to better promote UC Santa Cruz and provide a one-stop web site to promote all campus events, University Relations is pleased to announce a new and improved online Events Calendar: events.ucsc.edu.
The new calendar includes a number of improvements: Its look and feel is now consistent with the current campus web environment, and events are easier to find by category type. The calendar has also been enhanced in some less visible ways: It has been developed on a more stable application and hardware platform, making future improvements possible.
I wish to thank a number of event administrators around campus who have been very helpful partners on this project, adding content and providing important feedback during this academic year.
While most areas on campus are already listing events in the new calendar, our hope is that all campus departments will participate. If your area of campus is not yet using the site to list events, please help us make this calendar comprehensive by creating an account and adding your events.
We will begin including the events.ucsc.edu web site on all general UC Santa Cruz marketing and communications materials.
