With sadness we write to inform you that we recently learned of the death of Krish Patel, a College Nine senior majoring in Business Management Economics and Applied Physics.
Krish was a well-liked, active student at College Nine and College Ten, as well as in the wider UCSC community. He participated in the Indian Student Organization; helped plan the Practical Activism Conference in 2010 and 2012; was a student teacher of the Global Action class, and was on the Colleges Nine and Ten Activities staff in 2010-11.
A funeral service was held for Krish on Saturday, March 8 at 10:30 am at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, Ca 94536.
In addition, a gathering to remember Krish and to honor his many contributions to our colleges was held on campus, Tuesday, March 11 at 6 pm in Namaste Lounge.
