50th Anniversary Brown Bag: Tell your UCSC story!

To: UCSC Community

From: Susan Gillman and Tyrus Miller, Co-Chairs UCSC 50th Anniversary Campus Coordinating Committee

We write as Co-Chairs of the 50th Anniversary Campus Coordinating Committee to invite you to the Winter campus-wide Brown Bag meeting.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Noon to 1:15 pm

Humanities Conference Room 210

12:00 noon: Update on 50th Planning

12:15 - 1:15 pm: Hands-on Workshop

1.     Bring your pictures, newspaper clippings, documents for scanning and a favorite personal UCSC story, memorable   event or milestone

2.     We’ll show you how to upload your story on the 50th Anniversary Timeline

We will set up some work-stations with scanners and computers, assist you in scanning your pictures and help you upload your stories on the 50th Timeline.  Check it out: http://50years.ucsc.edu/timeline/

This meeting offers a space where you meet your colleagues and muse over some key experiences at UCSC.  You will also have an opportunity to learn more about the latest planning updates, upcoming events, outreach activities and how the campus and key constituents get ready for the 50th.

For this session, please bring only one or two pictures to the workshop, so that everybody gets time to scan and upload their story.  If more time is needed, we can either organize a follow-up meeting, or we can give you some guidelines on how to add more stories from your personal workstation at home.

We look forward to hearing your stories!
