Free screening of 'Doctors of the Dark Side' set for Jan. 30 at UCSC

A free screening of "Doctors of the Dark Side," the award-winning documentary that examines the critical role of psychologists and physicians in the torture of detainees in U.S. controlled military prisons, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 at the Merrill Cultural Center, on the UC Santa Cruz campus. The screening is open to the public.

A panel discussion will follow, featuring professors Craig Haney and Eileen Zurbriggen, of the UCSC psychology department, and Jeffrey Kaye, a psychologist in private practice in San Francisco

"Doctors of the Dark Side," produced and directed by Martha Davis, is an official selection of the United Nations Association Film Festival 2012.

The screening is co-sponsored by the Monterey Bay Psychological Association and the UCSC Psychology Department.
