Open Enrollment 2013 ends Tuesday, November 20 at 5 p.m.

To: UCSC Academic and Staff Employees

From: Pamela Peterson, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Academic Personnel and Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor, Staff Human Resources

If you haven’t already done so, you have until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20 to make UC health and welfare benefit plan changes for 2013.  We encourage you to take any needed action soon and not wait until the last minute to avoid heavy online usage that can cause delays in accessing the At Your Service website (https://atyourserviceonline.ucop.edu/ayso/).

During Open Enrollment you can:

·    Enroll in a different medical plan.  Consider one of UC’s value plans to pay lower premiums.

·    Enroll eligible family members or de-enroll family members who are no longer eligible in your health plans.

·    Enroll in the ARAG Legal Plan, which is open this year.

·    Enroll or re-enroll in the Health Flexible Spending Account (Health FSA) and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DepCare FSA).  Even if you are currently enrolled in these plans, you must re-enroll to participate in 2013.

If you have reviewed the plan changes and premiums for 2013, are satisfied with your current benefit plans and do not plan to enroll or re-enroll in the Health FSA or DepCare FSA, you don’t have to take any Open Enrollment action.
