UCSC's United Way Campaign: November 1–15

To: UC Santa Cruz Staff and Academic Employees

From: Staff Advisory Board and Academic Senate

We know that difficult times still continue for many in our community.  In the next few weeks, we have an opportunity to reach out to those in need of our help and make a difference in their lives through an annual gift to the United Way.

United Way bannerOur campus community steps up to this challenge every year. Last year, 240 UCSC faculty and staff donated $48,000 to the United Way making us one of the largest workplace donors in Santa Cruz County; something we should all be very proud of. Our support helps ensure that children will succeed in school and life, families will become financially stable, and both children and adults will receive the health care they need.

Your support is critical to our local United Way agency.  Find out more at our:

2012 United Way Campaign Kickoff
Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Women’s Center
4:30-5:30 p.m.

No donation is too small to make a difference in our community.

Become a new donor or increase your donation via UCSC payroll and you will be automatically entered into our campaign raffle!

Making a donation is easy; just go to United Way's UCSC web site at www.unitedwaysc.org/welcome-ucsc to download your pledge form. You will also find additional materials to help you with your decision. Donations can be made with check, cash, credit card, or monthly payroll deduction.

A donation envelope will arrive in your campus mailbox in the next few days. If you do not use the envelope, please return it so it can be used again next year. If you don't receive an envelope, you may use any securely sealed envelope and send your donation to Sandy Schmidt in the Chancellor's Office.

If you plan to continue your current donation, your payroll deduction will automatically renew for 2013.

We hope you will join us in supporting United Way of Santa Cruz County and the many agencies in our community that help make a difference in the lives of your neighbors.
