Professor Richard “Ed” Green will be featured on PBS science show

The season premiere of NOVA scienceNOW will highlight the work of UC Santa Cruz professor Richard "Ed" Green, who will address the question: ‘What makes us human?’

The premiere, which will air at 10 p.m. October 10 on PBS station KQED Channel 9, will feature a conversation between host David Pogue and Green, who teaches biomolecular engineering at the Baskin School of Engineering. 

The season premiere will examine Green’s work sequencing the Neanderthal genome.
