Still time to make a year-end gift to UC Santa Cruz

As the calendar year draws quickly to a close, potential donors still have time to make a tax-deductible gift to UC Santa Cruz and receive credit for it on their fiscal year 2011 tax statements. There are many ways to support the campus by the last day of 2011 on December 31:

  • You may give online.
  • You may make a gift by mail. For a printable form to mail in with your check or credit card number, click here. Checks should be made payable to UC Santa Cruz Foundation. Fill out the form and mail to:
    UCSC Gift Administration
    University Relations
    1156 High St.
    Santa Cruz, CA 95064
  • You may also make a planned gift to UCSC. Please contact Virginia Rivera.

When making a gift, you have the opportunity to designate it to a specific area of interest or give to one of the discretionary funds listed below so it can be used immediately where it's needed most:

  • The UCSC Fund supports top campus priorities and allows the Chancellor to act on emerging opportunities. Contact Howard Heevner or visit UCSC Fund for further details.
  • The Parents' Fund supports programs that directly benefit students at UCSC. Contact Frankie Melvin for further details.
  • Scholarships assist students with excellent academic records and demonstrated financial need. Contact John Hopkins for further details.

If you have questions about year-end giving, please don't hesitate to contact the gifts staff in University Relations. You may also click here for more information, send an email to giving@ucsc.edu, or call 800-933-SLUGS.

Thank you for your consideration.
