Spring 2011 Transportation Survey

To: UCSC Community

From: Transportation and Parking Services Director Larry Pageler

I write today to invite all members of the campus community to participate in a ten-minute on-line Transportation Survey. By clicking on the following link, you’ll be taken directly to the survey:http://sgiz.mobi/s3/3a447ae21c11

Designed and implemented by Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS), the survey collects information about the travel choices and preferences made by students, staff and faculty who traveled to and from UCSC facilities last week. In conjunction with other transportation information, the results of the Transportation Survey will help campus planners monitor the effectiveness of existing programs and services.

Your responses also help gauge the factors that encourage or inhibit use of sustainable transportation alternatives, while a “Comments” area provides an opportunity to share your ideas, suggestions and feedback. By comparing these results with similar surveys conducted over the past twelve years, certain trends—such as growing support for “green” travel choices—can be analyzed and documented. Ultimately, these findings will help TAPS provide new, improved, and expanded programs and services to the campus community.

Those who complete the survey no later than Friday, June 3rd, may enter their name and contact information to win one of five $50 gift certificates to the Bay Tree Bookstore.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
