UC Santa Cruz Chancellor George Blumenthal will co-host a California Forward public forum on Thursday, April 28, in downtown Santa Cruz.
The citizen-based organization is holding "dialogue" events in a number of cities in an effort to develop ideas about how the state can create a more integrated, responsive, yet cost-effective government that truly serves its residents.
The Monterey Bay area event takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the "Top of the Ritt," 101 Church Street.
Chancellor Blumenthal will be joined by co-host Sylvia Panetta of the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. California Forward board members and former area legislators Bruce McPherson and Fred Keeley will also be in attendance.
