Humanities Division launches annual East Coast Alumni Speaker Series

UCSC alumna Jill Hoy (Cowell '77)

Artist and gallery owner Jill Hoy (Cowell '77) will give the inaugural lecture in the East Coast Distinguished Alumni Guest Speaker Series, presented by the UCSC Humanities Division.

The lecture will take place on February 24, at 4 p.m. in the Silverman Room at Stevenson College.

A reception will follow at the Stevenson Provost House. This event is free and open to the public.

Her talk is titled “Singular Dualities: Painting from life, Painting in the studio.”

The East Coast Distinguished Alumni Guest Speaker Series is the result of a fund established by a core group of East Coast alumni, who wish to contribute to the university in a lasting fashion, by bringing accomplished East Coast alumni back to campus to speak, lead guest seminars and interact with students.
