The next two Saturdays, UC Santa Cruz will welcome prospective students and their families to Preview Day, the annual campus open house, to explore the campus and connect with UCSC faculty and staff.

October 16 is planned specifically for prospective transfer students with programs on the transfer admissions process, support services, and additional campus resources. Students who are current foster youth or military veterans are also encouraged to attend on October 16.

The next Saturday, October 23, will be focused on prospective freshmen.

"We want to encourage prospective students and their families to come out and join us for a great overview of the UC Santa Cruz experience, to understand what is distinctively UC Santa Cruz, and to see if we fit their academic and social needs," said Michelle Whittingham, associate vice chancellor of enrollment management and director of admissions.

Each Saturday will include three one-hour informational sessions at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. Each session will cover academic experiences and opportunities; campus and student life; and admissions requirements and selection. Each will be followed by a 90-minute walking tour of campus led by Admissions' tour guides.

Online reservations are required at admissions.ucsc.edu/pday.

Families will also be able to join a variety of other campus events. More information is available at https://admissions.sa.ucsc.edu/pday10/events.cfm or (831) 459-4008 and admissions@ucsc.edu.
