Revised Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) update

This is to announce that the United States Department of Labor has released final revised regulations implementing the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

These regulations became effective on January 16, 2009. The Office of the President is currently examining the University's leave policies to determine what areas need to be updated in order to reflect the changes. We will be working to update our campus procedures in light of the current revisions.

Staff employees with questions about family and medical leave should be directed to their SHR Service Team Representative.

Academic employees with questions about family and medical leave should be directed to their divisional academic personnel coordinator.
