Reminder: Arboretum admission fee begins July 1; faculty, staff can join through July at discounted rate

In order to cover the costs of visitor services and maintaining its living collection of rare, special and endangered plants, the UCSC Arboretum will begin charging admission on Tuesday, July 1 (see earlier announcement).

Faculty and staff who visit the Arboretum frequently may want to take advantage of a discount membership offer, good through the end of July. An individual membership is $35, and couple membership is $50 a year.

These rates will going up to $45 and $65 respectively on July 1 for the general public and on August 1 for faculty and staff. Basic membership benefits include discounts at local nurseries, a quarterly bulletin, early entrance to plant sales, discounts to workshop and special lectures, and member-only events.
