Campus Elections Results

I write to inform you of the Spring 2008 Campus Elections results. We had an undergraduate voter turnout of 32.62%. The graduate voter turnout was 12.85%. The combined voter turnout was 30.82%.

In summary:

Measure 34 - Sustaining the Student Media Voice - PASSED: Creates a new fee of $4.14 per student/per quarter beginning Fall 2008

Measure 35 - Student Health Center Green Building Fee - PASSED: Creates a new fee of $5.20 per student/per quarter beginning upon completion of the green certification project

Measure 37 - Support GIIP: Undergraduate Education, Social Justice and Sustainability - PASSED: Creates a new fee of $1.33 per student/per quarter beginning Fall 2008

Please note: Individuals who wish to challenge the Campus Elections process or validity of the election results may file a written complaint with the Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs. A complaint must include a detailed explanation of the specific action or section of the election policy being grieved, or alleged to have been violated, and the remedy requested. The time limit for filing a complaint shall expire thirty (30) working days after the election results are announced (Tuesday, July 15, 2008).
