Summer 2008 Orientation - Dates Update

Each year the campus officially welcomes new students and their families and guests during Summer Orientation. Summer Orientation represents the first step toward a student's academic and social transition into university life, eventually leading to graduation and becoming a UC Santa Cruz alumnus!

On behalf of new UC Santa Cruz students and their families, we want to thank the entire campus community in advance for its maximum participation and for sharing the common goal of making Summer Orientation a positive experience for new students.

We have established that we will have Orientation on July 24. Confirm that your calendar is marked for the Summer 2008 Orientation dates:

Frosh: July 10 (Thurs.), 12 (Sat.), 15 (Tues.), 17 (Thurs.), 22 (Tues.), and 24 (Thurs.)

Transfer: July 19 (Sat.)

This year, Summer Orientation will take place on the west side of campus (College Eight and Kresge College primarily). To visit the Summer 2008 Orientation web page, please go to: http://admissions.ucsc.edu/orientation08/

One important component of Summer Orientation is the Resource Fair. The Resource Fair is a great opportunity to make students and their families aware of your unit/department/office, and to provide them with information regarding your services. The Resource Fair will take place at the College Eight Patio from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To register for the Resource Fair, please go to http://admissions.ucsc.edu/orientation08/registration_fair.cfm.
