The Wall Street Journal, New York Sun, and Library Journal published reviews of humanities professor Jerome Neu's book, Sticks and Stones: The Philosophy of Insults, which explores the nature, purpose, and ultimate effect of insults.

The Arizona Daily Star raved about a performance by theater arts assistant professor Patty Gallagher at the Rogue Theater, describing her as work as "poetry in motion" and "a joy to watch."

Physicist Alan Litke's research on the neurology of vision was the focus of the cover story in the January/February issue of the particle physics magazine Symmetry.
