Staff invited to attend Women@Work Retreat

The weather is usually sunny and the atmosphere is always casual at the Women@Work Retreat.

The 2008 Women@Work Retreat will be held April 24-25 at St. Francis Retreat Center, located in the hills above the town of San Juan Bautista.

The retreat offers staff a chance to get to know one another in a relaxing pastoral setting and participate in a variety of topical workshops. The retreat focuses on issues of concern to working women: building job-related skills, career development opportunities, and networking. This year's retreat theme is "Creating Partnerships."

Space in available for 114 and the cost is $115 per person, including meals and overnight accommodations. Campus supervisors have been asked to provide release time and funding for those interested in attending. A limited number of partial or full scholarships are available for supervisors to request.

All nonprobationary full and part-time career staff in any job classification up to and including PSS Grade I are eligible to attend, as well as limited employees with at least two years of cumulative service.
