Welcoming Guests to UC Santa Cruz

To: Campus Community

From: Jean Marie Scott, Acting Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs

From June 24 through September 1, UCSC will usher in another conference season, welcoming approximately 10,000 visitors to our campus. UCSC has been a popular destination for summer conferences, and this summer is no exception. Our visitors will participate in 70 distinctive conferences or camps, learning about a variety of subjects from the works of Charles Dickens to the sport of volleyball.

Housed in residence halls and apartments, conference participants will also utilize classrooms, lounges, and outdoor field spaces throughout the campus. Four campus Conference Offices are set up to handle registrations and the many questions from our visitors. These offices will be located at the Crown College Library (502-7002), Colleges Nine/Ten Apt. #1104 (502-7004), College Eight Apt. #1101 (502-7000), and Kresge College Apt. 1111 (502-7006).

We ask for your engagement and assistance in welcoming our guests to UC Santa Cruz and helping to guide them to their campus destinations. Many of these camp or conference participants could be future UCSC students or parents of future UCSC students. Your participation will help make their experience here the best possible.

Please feel free to direct any questions that you may have about the UCSC Summer Conference program to (831) 459-4897.
