Tests of emergency notification system scheduled

During the upcoming months, Information Technology Services (ITS) will conduct several scheduled tests of the campus emergency notification system. The emergency notification system systematically places telephone calls to all members of the campus community or to people in a specific area of campus and delivers recorded information regarding an emergency. ITS is testing the system to make sure it is functioning correctly.

The campus emergency notification system will call randomly selected staff and faculty members with a recorded test message beginning in late June. Those members selected will receive advance notification of the test via e-mail to their UCSC e-mail addresses.
