The UCSC women's rugby team has qualified to play in the Division II collegiate
women's championship game. They will play Iowa State University on May 5 at
11 a.m. at Stanford University.
The Slugs defeated Charleston College (South Carolina) and Bowdoin College (Maine) by identical scores of 49-0 at the Elite 8 playoffs in Sanford, Florida, April 21-22.
The UCSC women's rugby team is the defending National Champion, and they are the number one seed.
