What: "Illustrating Nature," an exhibit of science and nature illustrations

Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Details: "Illustrating Nature" is an annual exhibit of detailed science and nature illustrations by students in the Science Communication Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Over 65 works in pen and ink, watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, gouache, acrylic, bronze sculpture, and other media will be on display. Subjects range from zoology and botany to medicine and genetics. The exhibit is cosponsored by the Santa Cruz Museum Association and the Science Communication Program. UCSC is one of the few universities in the United States offering a specialized graduate program in scientific illustration.
Illustrators will demonstrate various techniques on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to noon.
